I am not against you, nor arrogant,
Nor trying to be negative or mean.
I simply question, and I’m confused,
By how we spend our lives, it seems.

People sleep most of their days,
And work at jobs they don’t enjoy.
The rest of their time is spent in games,
And shows that have no meaning or employ.

Am I just being judgmental?
Am I from another world, with no understanding?
I love to sleep less, and do what I love,
To help others, and listen to their truth above.

I respond with positivity and care,
And offer advice for improvement, if it’s fair.
But I can’t help but wonder, why we choose,
To live our lives in such a mundane groove.

Is it fear? Is it complacency?
Is it simply because it’s easy?
I don’t know the answers, but I yearn,
For a world where people live with more verve.

Where we wake up early, with a smile,

Where we work at jobs that make us proud,

Where we watch shows and play games,

I know that we are all different beings,
